Sponsors
The Annual Basic Science Course could not exist without financial contributions from two sources: The Canadian Orthopaedic Foundation, and The Health Care Industry. The Canadian Orthopaedic Association and those who attend this course acknowledge with thanks this important financial sponsorship.
Initial conversations with Zimmer, Howmedica and Stryker Canada in 1985 led to the promises of support that made the course financially feasible. One of the key original concepts is that any resident in Canada has an equal opportunity to attend and funds from industry support this. From this beginning, the principle of supporting pure orthopaedic education has been endorsed by most of the members of the Health Care Industry, leading to the following support for the Annual Course.
The Basic Science Course is supported by EDUCATIONAL GRANTS from the following:
| CANADIAN ORTHOPAEDIC FOUNDATION | |
| STRYKER CANADA* | ZIMMER CANADA* |
| PFIZER | BIOMET CANADA |
| SMITH & NEPHEW | LINVATEC |
| WRIGHT MEDICAL | DEPUY |
| OSSUR | SYNTHES |
The Annual Basic Science Course receives an annual Grant from the Canadian Orthopaedic Foundation which also provides the technical support for the Course as well as the server which hosts this website.
