Robin Richards
Dr. Robin Richards is an internationally known and respected upper extremity surgeon.
He trained in medicine at McMaster University Medical School, and in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Toronto. After fellowships at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, and Duke University in North Carolina, he returned to Toronto in 1984, where he now practices at St. Michael's Hospital.
Dr Richards has risen to the rank of Professor of the Department of Surgery, University of Toronto. He is Director of the Upper Extremity Reconstructive Service, Head of the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery, and Medical Director of the Neuromusculoskeletal Program, all at St. Michael's. He also acts as a Consultant to the Workers' Compensation Board of Ontario, and at the Hugh MacMillan Rehabilitation Centre.
Dr Richards has reviewed the management of avascular necrosis in bone for the Annual Basic Science Course.
