Nelson Greidanus

Dr. Greidanus obtained his medical degree (MD) at the University of Alberta in Edmonton Alberta. He went on to complete his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Alberta Hospital and became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) in 1998. Dr. Greidanus completed an additional fellowship in adult reconstructive hip and knee surgery at Rush Medical College/Central Dupage Hospital in Chicago, Illinois and then completed a Master of Public Health Degree (MPH) at Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts.

Dr. Greidanus joined the Department of Orthopaedics at UBC in 2000 as a member of the Division of Lower Limb Reconstruction & Oncology. He currently performs a wide range of hip and knee reconstructive procedures at Vancouver General Hospital.

Dr. Greidanus is also involved in clinical research/trials and is currently completing a PhD in Clinical Epidemiology at the University of British Columbia. He is actively involved in medical student, resident, and fellow teaching and is currently Director of Resident Education in the Division of Lower Limb Reconstruction & Oncology at Vancouver General Hospital.
