Rob Feibel
Dr. Feibel currently works in Ottawa, Ontario as Associate Professor in the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery, University of Ottawa. He has had considerable experience in the fields of microsurgery, the Ilizarov technique and principles as well as traumatology. He will be providing the lecture on distraction osteogenesis for the 2004 Basic Science Course.
He is Director, Adult Reconstruction/Total Joint Unit, University of Ottawa. He is Deputy editor for Orthopaedics and Traumatology and had been involved with Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research as a Guest Editor for a 1996 edition dealing with lower limb trauma.
Board certified in Canada and the United States, Dr. Feibel is a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, the Canadian Orthopaedic Trauma Society, the Canadian Orthopaedic Association, the Ontario Orthopaedic Association, and the National Capital Orthopaedic Association.
Dr. Feibel has been in practice for over a decade. He has written several articles on the Ilizarov technique and has been a guest lecturer internationally on this topic.
