Personal Statement
With my wife, Lois, also a physician (family doctor) and two children, Shannon, age ten, and Andrew, age eight; we live on my father's ranch just west of the city of Calgary and own 50 cows and calves and are involved as much as possible on a daily basis with the large ranching operation that my father runs. Having grown up on a ranch and been lucky enough to settle down in Springbank, just west of Calgary, back on the ranch, we are extremely lucky to be able to partake in the ranching lifestyle. Being a father to two young children, a husband, an orthopaedic trauma surgeon, a part-time rancher, an avid athlete, among other titles, I am enjoying a very busy life.
